Meet the team at Ebb & Flo

At Ebb & Flo we encourage the authenticity of our instructors.  So, while the instructor will incorporate the fundamental principles and intentions of the class, the content of the classes will vary based on the unique style, trainings, interests, and experiences of each instructor.  Try them all and find your flo!

bryn jennings

Bryn Jennings (they/she) is a yoga practitioner and instructor based in Toronto, Canada. Bryn’s path to yoga was a winding one, but after many years of dropping into the occasional group class, in 2015 something shifted and they never looked back. From there hundreds of hours of study, practice, teaching, and inquiry unfolded.

Bryn has completed two 200 hour Teacher Trainings (Kula Yoga, Return Yoga), 50 hour Yin Teacher Training (Bernie Clarke), and 40 hour Restorative Teacher Training (Octopus Garden), as well as countless workshops and trainings in subjects from anatomy to philosophy to the intersections of yoga and social justice. While asana, pranayama and chant all play a significant role in her practice, jnana yoga (the “path of knowledge”) is what truly calls to their heart and leads them deeper on the yogic path. Bryn is currently engaged in a deep study of the Yoga Sutras under the guidance of her primary teacher, Karin Carlson, a process that will take about five years to complete.

Prior to embarking on their first YTT, Bryn worked as a youth worker in youth shelters and drop-ins. From this experience she brings a strong foundation in anti-oppression and trauma-informed practice, as well as a deep concern for equity and justice. She believes it is our responsibility as yoga practitioners to dismantle systems of oppression that keep people unwell. While there are no easy answers, yoga offers us the tools to show up, do the work, and hold the complexity of it all.

patricia mcpherson

After experiencing 3 car accidents in 4 years, a friend of hers offered her a pass at a yoga studio to assist in healing her injuries and uplifting her spirit. Little did Patricia know, this was the beginning of a lasting

relationship with yoga & meditation that would change her lifestyle and her outlook on health and wellness for good! These experiences led her to obtain her Yoga and Yin certification at the renowned Yoga Sanctuary studio in Toronto.

With an invested interest, after 3 years of a full time teaching schedule she traveled to Rishikesh, India to obtain a 300 hour YTT & gain the full Eastern experience. This experience deepened her personal quest and growing desire to help others find fluidity and balance in movement and mind. The journey of Yoga and Meditation has become her life’s work with a dedicated passion to encourage people from all walks of life to invest in the beauty of their inner worlds.

Brianna Richer

Bri is a 200HR certified yoga instructor and trauma-informed embodiment coach with a fascination for the body's role in healing. However, over time the practice revealed its true nature; teaching her tenderness in relationship to suffering and awakening a feeling of innate belonging.

Bri's classes take a somatic approach guiding you to explore the felt-sense of your body and emotions. She believes embodied expression is an invaluable support for self-awareness, soothing, and growth. Deep self-inquiry is accompanied by playfulness and creative sequencing to invite the energy of joy!

J.P. Baldwin

I discovered yoga in my early 20’s when my roommate brought home a few Baron Baptiste audio classes. After years of working in theatre, I was looking for something other than dance class to keep me strong and flexible as a performer and dancer/choreographer. From yoga at home, I discovered the hot room of Moksha Yoga and began a more diligent practice. I felt more grounded in my breath, more still in my consciousness and more mindful of how I moved my body in the everyday.

After 7 years of being an avid Modo Yoga practitioner, I took my first teacher training with a month long intensive in Brazil. Since then, I’ve studied with Marla Ericksen, Rodney Yee, Colleen Saidman, Jason Crandell and Leslie Kaminoff and received further accreditations (Vinyasa Flow, Yin/Restorative).

I got my first teaching job upon graduating my RYT 500 and to date I’ve taught in Peterborough and the Kawartha’s, Las Vegas and Toronto.

Now in my mid 40’s, having taught for 13+ years, I have learned to embrace all that comes with teaching and practicing as simply moments that pass through. In my classes I will guide your experience safely while you explore your practice and discover what you need. I hope that you find my classes accessible, while being breath and alignment based, all while having a bit of fun and challenging yourself!
